A Little Time has Past

Christmas was fantastic, aside from the gong show to get there. It was wonderful to be with family, and to be in Hawaii. I thought that it would be weird not to be home in the cold, but to tell you the truth, it was just the same, just warm.

I have a new little analagy for my life that I think can be applied to various areas of life, but for mine, particularily in one!!! You all may laugh, and that is ok but here it goes.

So in dealing with YSA life, I have come to view it as a car dealership. You have all of these guys, excited to live the dream, live in style, and drive the fancy cars. For example the Porches', Ferrarris', Mercedes',.....and on the list goes. They are so focused on these cars that they don't listen to the people around them, voices of reason, maybe wait, you can't afford that right now... They really don't want to listen or look at any of the good quality slightly used, reliable cars. So they drive off the lot with their so they think dream car. They are loving life. It goes fast, looks good... A little ways down the road they realize, that gas is getting a little pricey, up-keep is a little more costly than they thought, and it is turning out to be a little more high maintenance.
So what happens now, well they come to their senses and think maybe I can trade the car in for something a little less high maintenance, something still reliable, that looks good, dependable... but when they come back they find that the reliable, good looking, cost effective cars are gone, to someone who values and appreciates them!!! Take this for what it is worth, but when i heard this it rang true for me!!!!

Life keeps moving forward, work is busy, i signed up for the 10km moonlight run again which is happening in March, so if anyone is interested, sign up and come run with me, i don't run fast, and as of right now i am on my own for the 10km!!

I am going to try and be better at keeping my blog up to date!!!
